SUPERWOMAN DOESN’T LIVE HERE ANYMORE

The Ultimate 2 Week Plan to Get Your Family off the Sofa and Get them Helping around the House

By Kristi Patrice Carter

Introduction - The Superwoman Syndrome

As a woman, you know the all too familiar scenario: That day where nothing seems to be going right, nobody seems interested in helping out, obligations keep piling up and eventually, you are at your wit’s end. You wonder how it is acceptable that the kids do not pick up after themselves, your husband is not participating in running the household, and none of them seem to even know how to boil water.

In today’s hectic world, the above scenario is very common and frequently contributes to the overall angst of being a successful, driven, working female. ‘Women’s lib’ opened many doors to women, but somehow, the sharing of household duties got lost in the translation. The net result is women who can climb further up the corporate latter, make more money, hold executive positions in companies and still have to assume the lions-share of the domestic duties.

Juggling Two or Three Jobs at Once

Recently, studies have shown that that woman multitask better than men. It is a good thing too! Today’s working woman often has to juggle two or three jobs: That of mother and spouse, the manager of the household and whatever career choice they have made. Needless to say, you probably know too well that each one of those is a full time job unto itself.

As a mother and wife/girlfriend, there are the every day aspects of managing a relationship and caring for your children. That job really never enjoys a day off. Your kids get sick, need help with homework and your partner has all the normal things that they (and you) need done to nurture a healthy relationship.
